NBS graduate hired by Jazz FM

Congratulations to NBS alumnus Nick Howard, who is the new assistant producer for Jazz FM’s Alpari Business Breakfast programme. The show will broadcast on the DAB London station every weekday morning, between 6 and 6.30.

Top Industry Figures Moved To Recognise NBS Graduate

Recent NBS graduate Pieter Droppert triumphed over a record number of entries to win at this year’s BJTC Student Journalism Awards.
His feature ‘Living Well With Dementia’ impressed a distinguished panel of judges to come out on top in the Best Radio News Documentary category.
Many of the judges spoke of how they’d been moved by the thought-provoking documentary.

The Best Post-Grad Journalism Course Just Got Even Better

The National Broadcasting School are delighted to announce that The Bauer Academy are the new partner for its flagship post-graduate diploma in Radio Journalism.
It is the only industry-based course of its type to be accredited by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council; they describe it as ‘the future of post-graduate provision’.

It doesn’t feel like thirteen weeks since we started the Autumn course, but our students have now graduated, ready to start their new careers as qualified broadcast journalists.  They’ve come a long way in a short space of time, and we’re proud to see the work they’ve done.  They’ve reported on crime, local regeneration and panto, and they’ve broadcast from the Liverpool waterfront, New Brighton, and live from the LiverpoolX festival.  You can hear some of their work […]
