It doesn’t feel like thirteen weeks since we started the Autumn course, but our students have now graduated, ready to start their new careers as qualified broadcast journalists. They’ve come a long way in a short space of time, and we’re proud to see the work they’ve done. They’ve reported on crime, local regeneration and panto, and they’ve broadcast from the Liverpool waterfront, New Brighton, and live from the LiverpoolX festival. You can hear some of their work on our Vimeo page.
Already some of our students have secured employment as a result of the course. Joel Richards is now a researcher at LFC TV, which is great as he’s a big Liverpool fan. Matt Jones has already done a great deal of work for Radio City 96.7 and City Talk 105.9, which he’ll be continuing, but he is also now working for Wish FM in Wigan.
Last but not least, NBS will be working with Wayne Wright to set up a radio production company.
We’re really proud of all our students, and we look forward to hearing their future successes!
