Congratulations to NBS alumnus Nick Howard, who is the new assistant producer for Jazz FM’s Alpari Business Breakfast programme. The show will broadcast on the DAB London station every weekday morning, between 6 and 6.30.
After graduating from the NBS, Nick worked as a freelance journalist and producer for a number of stations before being asked to join Jazz FM fulltime. In his first week at the station, he has already read the news bulletin, produced on-air content, and interviewed former Chancellor of the Exchequer Ken Clarke.
Nick says, “I couldn’t have landed this job without the brilliant training and support from the National Broadcasting School. I’m constantly drawing on the skills and experience I built up during the course, and I’m pleased that it’s allowed me to hit the ground running in a complex, professional radio station. I’d recommend the NBS course to anyone looking for a job in radio!”
